Every May, social media is flooded with artists' different takes on mermaids and mermaid themed art. This year I had an order for a mermaid smash cake just in time for Mermay!
I was finally able to try out my mermaid tail and seashell molds and I absolutely love how they turned out.
One of my favorite things to play with recently is different shades and textures on the sides of cakes, using different piping techniques, spatula and palette knife techniques, and of course throwing different sized sprinkles everywhere possible!
